Another finish from earlier this month – most likely the last one for 2015.
It’s my take on the Drunkard’s Path block. I started with 3 or 4 layer cake blocks. I made a random curved cut, put the top fabric to the bottom and sewed them back together. Rinse and repeat 2-3 more times. Then I squared them up to 6″ (see pictorial below).
I found a tutorial on the technique at The Quilting Edge. I’ve been wanting to do a quilt like this for years so I’m glad I finally made time to do it.
I quilted it with overlapping circles and pebbles. It finished at about 36″x36″ and we have it draped over the piano for now.
