Here is my friend Karen’s Batik HST quilt. Four of us had the same fabric kit (from Karen’s stash) to work with. We each chose a pattern out of the book Friendship Triangles by Edyta Sitar of Laundrybasket Quilts. Love it! You can see what I made with my kit HERE.
And here are two quilts that are on her design wall. The rail fence is from the same batiks – the last little 1″ cut remaining from when we put the kits together.
This is her current leader/ender project. Stunning in its simplicity.
This picture turned out a bit fuzzy but you can get the drift. I love this pattern also – called Granny squares. I’ve thought about doing this in a paper pieced method but Karen assures me I can do it with the sewing machine. At least by doing it on the machine – there is a chance I will someday finish it. I have always envisioned it in Japanese taupes but my stash of those fabrics is getting low so I might need to rethink my plan.
