Giving Quilt for AQWL – I did the quilting. Someone else did the piecing.
Quilt top for AQWL – I did the piecing and sent it off for someone else to quilt
3 Little Wallets – great for a little gift.
1/2″ hexie Pretty Pouch – kit was brought back from the Melbourne quilt show by my friend Ms. A. I love it. Instead of paper, you use pre cuts from an dissolvable interfacing type product. It was easier to work with than paper and gives nice support. About 1/2 of it washes away.
Zen My Ass – I really like this one too. No. I’m not FULL of myself. I just think it’s good to appreciate your own work and be proud of what you do.
Funny though – I showed it to someone who was really interested in what I was doing and although she made all the right ‘noises’ – I could tell she really didn’t GET it (or even like it!). That’s ok though. I’m discovering more and more that it doesn’t matter if others like or understand my work – what is most important is that I enjoy it. And that I do it. I might not love all my stuff – but as long as I enjoy doing it – who cares. The homeless people won’t care what I was thinking when I made it, will they?
Thanks to my quilt group for making me think about the hanging orientation of this quilt. My default is vertical – but I like this one horizontal.
Bullseye – what can I say. This one makes me smile.
One sock – pre-darning and pre-hole-stitching-up
One striped scarf – left over yarn from my Melk, Austria Shawl
