Well, actually I’m crocheting. I started a small lightweight baby afghan a couple weeks ago. Pale yellow 3 ply yarn. I think it’s going to be great for a summer baby.
Also finished ONE sock. Well, I finally bound it off the needles. I still need to sew up the toe and fix a SMALL little stitch that escaped my notice. It sucks to have to darn a sock before you even wear it. Then again, I may never make the 2nd sock so it might not be a problem. (I wonder what a person can do with one sock? Hang it on the fireplace at Christmas maybe?)
Although I love the idea of being a ‘sock knitter’. I don’t think I will become one. Knitting with those small needles gives me knitter’s elbow (a close cousin of tennis elbow). I did promise Mr. W a pair of socks and I have the yarn for it so I might try again – we’ll see. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be stocking up on sock yarn in the near future though – unless it’s just to fondle it – or to make shawls out of it.
Quilting mojo has gone missing for now. I have 2 tops to baste at the June ANU meeting and then I’ll be off and running with more FMQing. Also taking a dresden plate workshop so perhaps that will help get the quilt juices flowing.
Pictures of projects will follow in a couple days!
