Six members of our local quilt group took a jelly roll class down at Steph’s in Moruya last month. It was a lovely social day out. We always have such a great time at Steph’s…..it’s a happy place and she ALWAYS has something I must have. It’s funny how some quilt shops you really connect with and others are just ok. Anyway, I did a bit of damage with purchases (I won the prize of the day) but did not violate my fabric diet. My fabric diet only applies to fabrics for QUILTS – with the exception that I can buy for a quilt if it’s for a back of a quilt that HAS to be completed.
So, in full disclosure (as if I need to) I did buy fabric for a quilt back for a baby quilt for the newest family member (June arrival I believe). In addition, I bought a dress pattern and some fabric for a dress (ok……TWO dresses). I’ll post more on that later. Oh, and Alabama Chain. I think there is cause for worry as I dig into this designer and what she does.
Here are a few of the in progress quilts from the day. Pattern is from Zen Chic and it’s called Jelly Belly. I couldn’t find a link to a website other than her facebook site but the patterns are available from several retailers. (Google is your friend)
