I’m a little bit obsessed with knitting lately. Crocheting also. I want to graduate from scarves, shawls, headbands and hats.
I love the yarn.
I love the needles (KnitPro is the latest one I’ve tried).
I love the patterns.
Honestly, lately I’ve been going to Ravelry at least once a day to look at patterns and read the forums. A lot of times – just to see what others are up to.
In the last 4 weeks I’ve knitted two cowls and bought the wool for a toddler-sized sweater.
That’s how I’m going to ‘graduate’ to an adult sweater – first I’m going to do a toddler sweater.
THIS is the sweater I want to make for me. My mama thinks I can do it. She’s an awesome knitter. I can’t tell you how many cable knit afghans she has made over the years – all gorgeous. I still have my pale blue one that she made for my wedding gift in 1979.
I’m hoping to find wool/yarn on our trip to Austria and USA later this year. My thought is that my yarn purchase(s) will be my souvenirs. I’ve already marked out several yarn shops in Vienna to check out (and 1 quilt shop!). Priorities, you know. 🙂
Well, it’s time for my morning cappo with Mr. W and then I’m off to a yoga class. Life is good!
