Had a lovely day up near Brooman for our annual Bawley Quilt group Christmas party. We were missing a few members, which made it a bit sad, but fun was had by all. We had delicious food – no one went home hungry.
Ms. A & Ms. R coordinated two craft projects for us.
The first one was a bird – complete with bling! Very simple and would be great for package decorations or tree ornaments.
The second was a candy candle – yum! The candle project would be perfect for kids or grandkids. You use a mint cookie (biscuit) for the candle base and then attach another smaller cookie to that (with melted chocolate). You then attach your candy bar (we used a Boost bar) for your candle stick, add a candy wick, two spearmint leaves and a few red berries. Drizzle a little white or milk chocolate around the top rim of the candy bar (to look like melting wax) and you’re done! Ready to let dry and then devour when the urge for chocolate hits.
