Thursday was our regularly scheduled quilt group meeting. It was supposed to be at my house. Instead, we had it at the local rural college campus and we all (nine of us) brought our machines and did a day of free motion quilting. I was the designated teacher.
It was an absolutely fabulous day. The location was amazing. The weather was gorgeous. The food was delicious. The company…..well, you can’t ask for a better group of gals to spend the day with on a beautiful winter day. And the best part? I didn’t have to clean my house this week!
Only one of us finished our cushion (Robyn E, the over achiever!) but all of us made progress and left happy and with many more practice hours under our belts.
Deb and Robyn2 had never done FMQ before and they were naturals at it. Annette was an absolute wiz-bang speed demon and would have finished her cushion had she not been helping so much. Renee & Pat were fearless in tackling their own designs. Pam was determined and creative with her stitching. Elizabeth overcame her sewing machine’s technical difficulty and made beautiful stitches and Joyce supervised us all!
I can’t wait to do it again.
