Settle down people, settle down……I wasn’t REALLY quilting while under the influence of alcoholic beverages (although there are quilters out there who recommend it)…it just LOOKS that way.
I am lovin’ this Modern Monday quilt but when I look at it, it truly feels like I must have pieced these blocks while under the influence of copious amounts of vodka. It’s like I get to break every damn rule I’ve ever read about with quilting….I’m cutting off corners, I’m not matching seams, I’m miss-matching colors, my stripes aren’t straight, I have bias edges……oh, the FREEDOM! The LIBERATION! It feels like the quilty version of riding a bike down a hill without touching the handlebars…….or skinny dipping in the morning light…….or screaming at the top of your lungs simply because you can………..or catching a great wave with your boogie board that takes you all the way into shore……. Get my drift? It feels FABULOUS, darlin’!
Oh, and I’m caught up…..you knew I’d get there, didn’t you?
