My other 3 sisters – K2, K4 & L1 – have all received nana quilts when they had their first grand-sprog (i.e. grandchild). K5 hasn’t had any grand-sprogs yet (and it will most likely be awhile before she does) so I’m giving her a NON-NANA quilt. Hope she loves it!
I quilted it using my walking foot. I got the idea from a Craftsy class, Creative Quilting with your walking foot by Jacquie Gering. Excellent class – I recommend it. The backing had a vine pattern so I followed that in one direction then did a freehand meandering vine the opposite direction. It went very quickly. I think I prefer it to FMQing. It certainly was less stress on my shoulders.
