Wow……that last post was my 300th post. Gobsmacked I am. I didn’t realize it until I hit the ‘publish’ button.
I finished 2 items this week. These weren’t on my list of items to finish. They actually weren’t even ON the list when I made the list. Whatever. :) I have made good progress on my list but the things that are left are more long-term projects so it was time to start some new ones.
The first item I finished this week:
This beautiful Artfully Simple Infinity Scarf is by mooglyblog. It’s available for F*R*E*E on Ravelry. I made it using Japanese Noro Silk Garden, color 359. The button is one I found in my ‘things I love but don’t have a use for’ box. It’s a light and airy scarf, even though it doesn’t look like it. It was VERY quick and easy. I think I finished it in about 2 or 3 nights. A perfect project for a gift or just to use up some delicious yarn that you have in your stash. It calls for 250-300 yards/meters of yarn. I’ll be making it again! Thanks to Pat for modeling for me.
I also finished the knitted toddler jumper, the Easy Baby Cardigan; also available for F*R*E*E on Ravelry. I changed the closure. Instead of twisted ties, I added little buttons and loop closures. Full disclosure……I did this because I had two small little mistakes in the ribbing on the front. I forgot to purl. :( I don’t think Brooke and Jeremy’s little guy will know the difference.
I’m quite chuffed (that means PLEASED!) with myself about this jumper! So pleased in fact that I’ve started another jumper for Eliana in pink. I used ‘Sublime extra fine merino wool dk’ in a soft aqua/blue – it was such a pleasure to work with. The wool is incredibly soft. Bonus is that it’s machine washable – although it recommends you dry it flat. I’ll be sure to give instructions to Jer (and Brooke!) to keep it out of the dryer.
